During the lockdown in France, Marc Dailly spent a lot of time in the house, painting his wife and his two daughters, reading or doing their home work. We love the way Dailly plays with the light coming in through the high windows and reflecting on his subjects, the table and the floor boards. The stillness of the atmosphere in their apartment in the centre of Lyon pervades these paintings, making them very intimate and touching.

Pendant le confinement, Marc Dailly a passé beaucoup de temps à la maison, à peindre sa femme et ses deux filles en train de lire ou à faire leurs devoirs. Nous aimons la façon dont Dailly joue avec la lumière qui entre par les hautes fenêtres et se reflète sur ses sujets, la table et le plancher. La tranquillité de l’atmosphère dans leur appartement au centre de Lyon imprègne ces peintures, les rendant très intimes et touchantes.
